Larkin, the Character
Larkin has always had a drive to succeed. He was very competitive right from the start, and took his interview after reaching level 53 and only seven months after his 18th birthday. He actively participated in any contest just to win prizes, especially credits to convert into lessons.
His first transcendent skill was Tattoos (because he wanted to give back to the guild and city by inking for other people), much to the chagrin of his elders who thought that he should be learning his guild skills. He wasn't worried, however, because he knew that he would be learning everything soon enough, and so he did. The general skills and mini-skills took quite a while, purchasing credits only in the game and eventually working on scripts and other odd jobs to earn credits.
To date, Larkin has earned over 7,000 credits through bashing, questing, ratting, scripting, enchanting, milking, shopkeeping, tailoring and crafting. He is transcendent in every skill possible, has purchased a few fun artifacts and permits, and he is fluent in three languages besides his own native tongues.
Larkin would like to thank all those who have befriended him or aided him during his many years. Without all of you, he would be much less than he is.
Behind the Character
I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in computer science and more than ten years of experience as a software engineer. My job requires me to research, design, and develop different types of applications for sensor networks and mobile robotics platforms.
I enjoy Dungeons & Dragons, painting Void miniatures, Magic: the Gathering, movies (more than 250 DVD titles, at present), anime, hard rock/metal music, and, of course, MUDs.
